To mobilize Christians to publicly share the gospel with unbelievers in their local community. This will be done through education, imitation, and opportunity.
- Education: providing information and Biblical principles to equip the believer and build confidence to labor for the harvest. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
- Imitation: providing mentors and experience to develop and encourage Christian evangelists in this work. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
- Opportunity: providing local group opportunities and resources to put the Great Commission into practice. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Our Values
- First and foremost, we are to reach the lost with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. (Luke 19:10)
- Gentleness and respect: Showing them we listen and understand their concerns and questions; we seek to explain and answer their questions of what the Bible teaches; and patiently reason with them pointing to Christ through the scriptures. (1 Peter 3:15) We should not force others to listen or believe, but present God’s Word which does not return void. (2 Timothy 2:24-25)
- Prayer and God’s Word: Prepare ourselves through the means of grace, including prayer and the reading and study of God’s Word; and seeking to prepare the unbeliever through the Holy Spirit. (Colossians 4:3-4)
- Used by God: Be ready to be used by God to draw others to him in all situations, recognizing that we are tools in God’s hands, but God draws his own (John 6:44) and makes them grow (1 Corinthians 3:6-8).
- Biblical, Sound Christian Doctrine: Reform our thinking and methods to be thoroughly biblical and based on sound doctrine found only in scripture. (1 Timothy 4:16)
- Every thought captive: to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5); we cannot ignore or avoid difficult topics, but confront the false wisdom of the world (Acts 20:27)
- Humility and Repentance: Avoid self-righteousness by pursuing our own repentance before we compel others to repentance. (Galatians 6:1)
