Overview
Each summer we hold a 4-day (4 night) camp of witnessing training and outreach connected with an outreach at the Iowa State Fair. After morning sessions, we head to the Iowa State Fair. Campers enjoy the fellowship of putting what they learned into practice together at the Answers in Genesis gospel booth inside the fair and elsewhere as the Lord provides opportunity.
You will experience:
- Practical training in witnessing and apologetics
- One-on-one coaching and opportunity to glean tips from others in action
- Evening fellowship and opportunity for Q&A
You will learn to:
- Transition conversations with unbelievers from natural to spiritual topics
- Pass out gospel tracts with confidence and skill
- Use creation science as a starting point
- Be winsome and gentle
- Use questions to generate gospel discussions
The first weekend (August 11-15) we will have Terry Mortenson, speaker from Answers in Genesis.
The second weekend (August 18-22) we will have Eddie Roman, speaker from Living Waters.
Tony Ramsek, Harold Mally, Grace Moffitt and Josiah Moffitt will speak at both camps as well.

Speaker Information
Dr. Terry Mortenson holds an MDiv and a PhD in the history of geology. He has lectured in 35 countries and formerly served for 26 years with Campus Crusade for Christ in the United States and in Eastern Europe. He now serves as an author, speaker, and researcher with Answers in Genesis.
Eddie Roman is the producer/director of Way of the Master, a television program that teaches Christians how to share their faith. He also hosts the Romans Road podcast and leads the evangelism ministry at Faith Bible Church in Murrieta, CA. Eddie’s book, Search N Rescue is used by churches and individuals who desire to reach out to the lost. Eddie has taught evangelism at Ray Comfort’s Ambassadors Academy as well as various outreaches and churches. Eddie lives in Murrieta, CA with his wife Carri and their four sons.
Tony has worked for Answers in Genesis since 1999 and leads numerous gospel outreaches for the ministry. Through his personal evangelism ministry called What Does the Scripture Say Tony, his wife, and their six children, enjoy leading gospel outreaches at state and county fairs, parades, outdoor markets and other venues. His heart’s desire is to exalt Christ, equip the saints, and evangelize the lost.
